Key Responsibilities:

<ul style="margin-bottom:11px">
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Conduct Parenting Assessments within timescales according to the framework.</li>
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Evaluate and identify levels of risk and need for children and young people in care, on a child protection plan, or identified as children in need.</li>
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Deliver protective or supportive services to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.</li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">Implement care plans by collaborating with parents and professionals from various agencies.</li>
</ul>

About You:

<ul style="margin-bottom:11px">
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Experience in undertaking specialist PAM's assessments and using a psychodynamic framework to understand family dynamics.</li>
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Knowledge of parenting programs and experience in conducting them to support families in reaching their potential.</li>
	<li style="margin-left:8px">Car Driver and Access to a vehicle is desirable. </li>
	<li style="margin-bottom:11px; margin-left:8px">BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Work England (SWE).</li>

Devon County Council is looking for an experienced and compassionate Children in Care Social Worker to join our supportive and dedicated team. <h3>What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing</h3>

	<li>Supporting Children and Young People: Build trusting relationships and advocate for children and young people, ensuring their care plans reflect their individual needs and aspirations.</li>
	<li>Working with Foster Carers and Families: Provide guidance and support to foster carers and families, helping them provide a nurturing environment for children in care.</li>
	<li>Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive network of colleagues, health professionals, educators, and other agencies to provide holistic care and support.</li>
	<li>Securing Futures: Play a key role in permanence planning, whether through adoption, long-term fostering, or supporting reunification with families.</li>
	<li>Empowering Independence: Support young people as they transition out of care, helping them build the skills and confidence they need for a bright future.</li>
</ul>

You will need to have at least completed an ASYE in Childrens Services to be eligible for this post in Devon for a Qualified Social Worker.

As well as an ASYE, you also need:

&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Social Work England Registration 
&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Social Work Qualification 
&bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Right to Work in the UK
