About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team within the Croydon local authority. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage a team of professionals committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Croydon. Your expertise in multi-agency working and your ability to oversee complex cases will ensure the delivery of high-quality and effective safeguarding practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of safeguarding professionals within the MASH team.
Oversee case allocations, ensuring that cases are managed effectively, with high standards of practice and timely responses.
Collaborate with multiple agencies, including health, education, police, and social care, to coordinate and deliver integrated safeguarding assessments and interventions.
Ensure compliance with statutory guidance, safeguarding legislation, and local authority policies.
Provide professional supervision, support, and guidance to team members, promoting their development and ensuring continuous improvement.
Monitor and review performance, producing reports and providing feedback to senior management on team outcomes.
Lead on safeguarding cases that require a strategic approach to risk management and complex decision-making.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with a valid Social Work England registration.
Proven experience in managing a team within children’s safeguarding services, ideally in a MASH or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple agencies.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, manage complex cases, and maintain high professional standards.
