Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for fostering? Croydon Council is looking for enthusiastic professionals to join their Fostering service as Supervising Social Workers. Role Overview:

• Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide high-quality care to children and young people
• Conducting regular visits and assessments to monitor the well-being of children in foster placements
• Providing training, guidance, and resources to foster carers to help them meet the needs of children in their care
• Working closely with social work teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for both children and foster carers
• Participating in the matching process to find the best possible placements for children
• Preparing detailed reports, attending meetings, and contributing to fostering panel discussions when necessary

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Proven experience in fostering or a related area within children's services
• Strong assessment, support, and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building positive relationships with foster carers
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
• A commitment to improving outcomes for children and ensuring high standards of care
