Birmingham Children's Trust is looking for a dedicated Fostering Social Worker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established fostering service, supporting foster carers and ensuring the best outcomes for children in care.
 

About the Role:

As a Fostering Social Worker, you will:

• Provide supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring compliance with fostering regulations and best practices.
• Conduct fostering assessments (Form F, Connected Persons, SGO) and present findings to panel.
• Deliver training and development sessions for foster carers.
• Work closely with children’s social workers, therapeutic services, and education teams to provide holistic support for children in care.
• Complete statutory visits, risk assessments, and safeguarding investigations where necessary.
• Contribute to placement stability through regular reviews and support planning.
   

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Social Work England registration.
• A recognised social work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW).
• Experience within fostering, looked after children, or a related social work team.
• Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, relevant legislation, and safeguarding procedures.
• The ability to build positive relationships with foster carers and children.
