Qualified Social Worker – Referral and Assessment – North London

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Referral and Assessment Team of a highly regarded local authority in North London. With an OFSTED rating of GOOD, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children and families in the community, working in a supportive and well-structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake initial assessments and Section 47 investigations, providing timely and high-quality reports and recommendations.
• Carry out safeguarding assessments and ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk.
• Work closely with families, children, and multi-agency professionals to develop tailored plans that address the needs of vulnerable children.
• Ensure all interventions are in line with statutory requirements and local policies.
• Manage a caseload of children, delivering consistent and thorough social work practice.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work England registration (must be fully qualified and registered).
• Demonstrable experience within Referral and Assessment or Children’s Services.
• Strong understanding of legislation and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
