Are you an experienced Senior Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding adults? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our dynamic Adult Safeguarding Team in the heart of Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, working with vulnerable adults to ensure their safety and wellbeing in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on complex safeguarding cases, providing high-quality assessments, risk management, and intervention plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, police, and other agencies, to protect adults at risk.
- Supervise and mentor junior social workers, offering guidance and ensuring best practice is followed.
- Conduct safeguarding enquiries, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements under the Care Act 2014.
- Support the delivery of person-centred care and advocate for the rights of adults, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Provide professional leadership within the team, contributing to service development and improvement.
- Work within the local authority’s policies, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, including adherence to safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Substantial experience working with adults in a safeguarding role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring other social workers is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
