Children's Social Worker - Support4Familes

Cardiff Council are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Support4Families Team. This is a Full-Time Locum Social Work role to cover maternity leave.

About The Role:

Support4Familes is part of Cardiff’s early help and prevention team. The Support 4 Families Team are essential in helping families get the right help at the right time.

They are developing their early intervention and prevention services to make sure families can access a range of services and tiered support to prevent the need for statutory social work intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will carry out proportionate assessments, devise family plans with person centre planning and with a focus on your case management skills working actively with all partners to identify and meet individuals support needs.
• You will be delivering direct interventions with families and using initiative and flexibility to be creative with work.

About You:

• Proven experience working within children's services, particularly in family support or safeguarding.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
• BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Care Wales (SCW).
