Job Title: Interim Assistant Team Manager – Children in Care

Location: Maidenhead Town Hall
Salary: £42 per hour
Contract: 3 months ongoing contract (with the possibility of extension)

We are seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Team Manager to join our client's Children in Care team in Maidenhead. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team supporting vulnerable children and young people in care. You will play a key role in ensuring that we provide high-quality services that make a real difference to their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Support: Provide leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and best practice standards.
  • Case Management: Oversee complex cases, ensuring timely interventions and appropriate care planning.
  • Performance Monitoring: Support the Team Manager in monitoring team performance, safeguarding procedures, and outcomes for children in care.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to deliver integrated services that meet the needs of children and families.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to the development of strategies that ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in children’s services, specifically within a Children in Care or related team.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload.
  • HCPC registration (or equivalent).
